Rare Earth Ions for Quantum Information is an international workshop to stimulate discussions in the community. It is organized every year, coordinated by a steering committee that includes:

• Margherita Mazzera – Heriot-Watt University Ediburgh, United Kingdom
• Stefan Kröll – Lund University, Sweden
• Thomas Halfmann – Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany
• David Hunger – Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany

Previous workshops were organized in Paris, Darmstadt, Barcelona, Geneva, Grenoble, Karlsruhe, Edinburgh, Bad Honnef, Lund and Munich. The next meeting in 2025 will be in Nice.
